The Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program Orientation provides an introduction to the program’s structure, requirements, expectations, and benefits of achieving certification. The curriculum is designed to enhance a municipal clerk/deputy clerk’s knowledge and skills in municipal government. To earn certification, clerks must complete four educational courses covering topics such as public management, municipal law, finance, and municipal governance. Participants are also required to attend approved seminars/webinars, pass comprehensive examinations for each course, and demonstrate practical experience in municipal administration. This rigorous program ensures that municipal clerks/deputy clerks are well-equipped to uphold legal and ethical standards while effectively serving their communities. The program also introduces participants to valuable resources, networking opportunities, and professional development tools. By attending the orientation, you will gain a clear understanding of the requirements and benefits of certification while also learning more about the Texas Municipal Clerks Association.
